“I couldn’t find my dream job, so I created my own!”

In the midst of the pandemic, Katie was faced with a challenge when a job opportunity didn’t pan out. Struggling to find a path forward, Katie made a list of everything she was looking for in a career. Her list prioritized building strong relationships, variety in the work day, and not being held captive to a desk all day. After 10 years in the construction industry, Katie was ready to take the skills and knowledge she had gained and put it toward a new endeavor.

Katie began meeting with colleagues from her previous jobs and she saw a need. With the construction industry booming, small business owners were being awarded more work than ever before and their small teams overwhelmed. She was confident that her background in military housing had given her the necessary skills to hone in on the building processes and improve efficiency. She was introduced to a 30A interior designer and custom home builder and pitched her idea. Thus, Bluewater Belle, LLC was born.
